NCDOT maintenance crews in Halifax County this afternoon are making more brine (salt and water mixture) and spraying I-95 with it.
Brine helps reduce snow/sleet from bonding onto the pavement.

Road conditions are not good out there. Unless you absolutely have to drive somewhere, staying home is a good idea. If you HAVE to drive, please be safe and use extreme caution.
